BACP describes CPD as a cyclical process: reflecting on and identifying learning needs, planning and prioritising, taking action, and evaluating the result. PracticeKit is designed to preserve that reflective thread, not simply total time spent.

Support for BACP Register record keeping
Current BACP Register guidance asks registered members to keep an up-to-date and accurate record, include a range of activities relevant to practice, and show how they have reflected, planned, actioned and evaluated their development needs.
BACP says the focus should be on outcomes, while normally expecting registered members to undertake at least 30 hours of CPD each year. Supervision is a separate Register requirement and should not be submitted as CPD.
Your professional judgement remains central. PracticeKit can organise CPD information, but you decide which learning is relevant and whether your record meets the requirements that apply to your membership and practice.
Record varied learning
CPD can include formal courses and conferences, but it may also include reading, peer support, mentoring, workshops, research, writing or other learning that affects practice. PracticeKit lets you categorise activities while keeping the reflective account attached.
Prepare a coherent record
Review progress across your membership year and export a structured record when you need it for your own review. Keep confidential or identifiable client information out of CPD entries unless it is specifically required and appropriate to include.
